Deutschland sucht die "Glanzlichter" des Jahres 2004. Und erstmals sind auch digital fotografierte Aufnahmen zum Wettbewerb zugelassen. Insgesamt gibt es Preise im Gesamtwert von über € 25.000 zu gewinnen.

Deutschlands größter internationaler Naturfoto-Wettbewerb "Glanzlichter" geht in die sechste Runde. Wieder werden in acht verschiedenen Kategorien (Landschaften, Pflanzen, Kunst in der Natur, Vögel, Säugetiere, Regenwälder, Mutter und Kind in der Tierwelt, Sand) und in einer Sonderkategorie (Das beste Tigerfoto) die schönsten Naturfotos aus aller Welt gesucht.

Wieder werden in acht verschiedenen Kategorien (Landschaften, Pflanzen, Kunst in der Natur, Vögel, Säugetiere, Regenwälder, Mutter und Kind in der Tierwelt, Sand) und in einer Sonderkategorie (Das beste Tigerfoto) die schönsten Naturfotos aus aller Welt gesucht.

Nachdem 2003 fast 10.000 Dias der Jury vorlagen, wird 2004 auch die digitale Kamerawelt aufgefordert, sich am Wettbewerb zu beteiligen. Erstmals sind digital fotografierte Aufnahmen zum Wettbewerb zugelassen. Und zwar nicht in einer Sonderkategorie, sondern gleichberechtigt zum Dia in allen Kategorien.
Den Gewinnern winken Preise im Gesamtwert von über € 25.000. Aufgeteilt in Geldpreise von € 9.350 und weitere Sachpreise in Höhe von € 16.000. Darüber hinaus wird mit den Siegerbildern ein Buch produziert und eine Wander-Ausstellung, die ein Jahr lang an über 20 Plätzen in Deutschland gezeigt wird. Die Siegerehrung findet während der 6. Internationalen Fürstenfelder Naturfototage vom 21.-23. Mai 2004 statt.
Die Teilnahmegebühr pro Einsender beträgt € 15, wofür bis zu 3 Bilder pro Kategorie eingeschickt werden können.

Einsendeschluss ist der 15. Januar 2004.

Rules of Competition

Participation
Everyone who is engaged in nature photography either as an amateur or a professional can participate in the competition.
The admission fee of € 15,00 is to be paid cash with the submission of the pictures.
Accepted are:

• Colour transparencies from 35 mm to 9x12 cm and in panoramaformat up to 6x18 cm. Do not send the slides in glass mounts. Protect them by transparent sleeves.
• Digital prints in at least 20x30 cm. Don"t roll up the prints. Please attach a CD-ROM with the original dates of the pictures in TIFF- or JPEG-format.
• 
  In each category up to 3 transparencies or prints may be entered.

Following details must be written on the slide mounts or on the backside of prints:

Please add the list of pictures completely filled in.

Images of domestic animals are not eligible subjects. Sandwich shots or photographs that have been digitally manipulated are not eligible. Pictures which have won a prize in any competition will be not accepted.

If a picture shows an animal in captivity (zoo, game-farm) or has been taken in conditions that are unnatural you must mark the slide mount with a C (= Captive).

You must be the owner of the entire copyright in all pictures entered. If pictures showing people are sub-mitted the author must have a model release.
The organizers of the project "natur & fotografie" cannot accept liability for any claims of a third party or for any loss or damage.
The entries should be mailed in a way so that they can-not be damaged. You must enclose two stickers with your address, cash or International Reply Coupons (one coupon is equivalent to € 1,80) to cover postage. The account see list of pictures. Special postal services should be considered.

By participating in the competition you accept the or-ganizers conditions. The judges decision on all matters of the Competition is final and legally binding.

Closing date for entries is:
January, 15th 2004, 12 pm - arriving !

The entries that are not among the winners will be sent back up to march, 15th. The winners will be notified after the judges have chosen the winning images.

Awards:
The total prize is higher than € 25.000. The prizemoney is € 9.350 and in addition other prize are € 16.000.

- There will be an allover-winner

The allover-winner receives € 1500, a winning trophy and one Glanzlichter-book. In addition he will be invited with one more person to 6th Internationale Fürsten-felder Naturfototage.

- Each category will have one winner and 9 highlights

Each category winner receives € 500, a winning trophy and one Glanzlichter-book. In addition they will be in-vited to 6th Internationale Fürstenfelder Naturfototage.
Each category-highlight receives € 50 and one Glanz-lichter-book. In addition they will be invited to the pres-entation of awards to the 6th Internationale Fürstenfelder Naturfototage.

- The will be one S&R-award-winner

The S&R-award-winner receives € 250, a winning trophy, a gift from Siegfried & Roy and one Glanz-lichter-book. In addition he will be invited with one more person to 6th Internationale Fürstenfelder Natur-fototage.

The presentation of all these awards will take place at 6th Internationale Fürstenfelder Naturfototage in Fürstenfeldbruck in Germany from May, 21.-23. 2004. Attending winners will get a sponsorpackage at stage and will be invited to the gala-dinner after the ceremony.
All winning photographs will be presented in an exhi-bition, travelling across german museums, and will be published in the Glanzlichter-book and at the homepage www.glanzlichter.com in the internet.
