Circle 24 digital photography contest

Whether you are a long time professional, an amateur with many awards from his camera club, or a student who thinks that his work is better than anyone else´s, you are most welcome to join our contest. After all: are there not many amateurs who make better work than their professional colleagues? And don't let this 'digital' thing fool you, all it means is that your work is to be submitted and will be exposed on the internet. Maybe you are a 'straight' photographer, crazy about the Zone-system and only working in black-and-white? Or maybe you are a digital artist, who feels that a photograph with an illustration and text is more than just a photograph? Feel free to submit your best work!
SUBMIT
To cover costs, there is a small entrance fee of 5 US$ or 5 Euro. *

The amount that you have to pay for banking might be higher so maybe it is easier to put it in an envelope and mail it registered. Use this e-Mail address robert@phototrends.net to notify us you would like to participate. We will contact you.

HOW TO SEND YOUR WORK
All we need is this:

1. ONE photograph (only one can be the best!) send as a 640x480 pixels .jpg
preferably by email
2. Your name, country and eMail address
3. a small text about yourself, who you are
4. a statement about your work.

THE SHOW
One large page shows all the entries and each little picture links to a full page with a large picture and details. We also show your eMail address, (not your post address) so people can contact you directly as in a little advertisement. The sooner you submit, the longer your work will be exposed and you can point clients, family or friends directly to the URL of your page!

Entries will be accepted untill the December 31th. 2004. Final decision is January 15th 2005. All entrants will be notified by eMail.

Furthermore there will be a possibility for every webvisitor to mail a text about entries and even to vote for their favourite. All this is also visible as a long list. So, we suggest to bookmark these pages in your favourites folder and come back as often as you like!

Via Circle 24, we are in contact with mayor publications and institutions on photography around the world. We intend to inform every one of them about our contest and to get the best possible press on this happening! News about this will also be posted on the mailinglist

PRIZE
The winner is invited to show his work on our gallery pages for the time of one year. Three pages with text, one page with 12 thumbnails and twelve subsequent pages with a large image and text will give you the opportunity to sell your work directly by you (no gallery commission!) and for the prize that you want.
