The exhibition of András Bernát takes the visitor into his experimental studio, established in the early 1980s. At the centre of the exhibition is a photographic series in which the artist explores the boundaries of body and space through what he called his distinctive “line-network world.” The concept is grounded in a holistic approach: chaotic webs of black pigment-painted lines run across both the background packing paper and the nude model, visually merging the figure with its environment. This gesture dissolves classical spatial perception, creating an unstable, floating visual field in which the body is no longer a separate entity but an organic part of the texture. Alongside the surviving black-and-white photographs, the exhibition also presents pencil drawings and early experiments in spatial homogenisation as part of the creative process.
