A tárlat kurátora magángyűjteménye Kálmán Kata-képeiből válogat. A kiállítás kurátora: MEDVE MIHÁLY A kiállítás 2026. július 3-án, pénteken 18.00 órakor nyílik Leányfalun a Ravasz László Rendezvényházban. A tárlatot E. CSORBA CSILLA irodalom- és fotótörténész, a Petőfi Irodalmi Múzeum tiszteletbeli főigazgatója nyitja meg. https://www.facebook.com/events/1509486294287907/

BECOME ONE OF THE PHOTOGRAPHERS OF THE YEAR — MONOCHROMATIC AWARDS 2026 We invite you to take part in the fifth edition of the Monochromatic Awards. We are looking for the best monochromatic photography of 2026. This competition is open to all interpretations of monochromatic photography: from traditional black and white to grayscale, sepia, cyanotype, or any other variation based on a single tone. What matters is how you use that limitation to build an image. Photographers from all genres and backgrounds are welcome to participate. Beyond category, we are looking for work with a clear vision and a defined intention. The winner will be recognized as Photographer of the Year and, together with the finalists, will be included in the annual Monochromatic Book. This publication brings together an international selection of works, carefully edited and presented, creating a coherent body that reflects what is happening in monochromatic photography today. Rather than a fleeting appearance, the book offers a lasting format where the work can be seen with the time and attention it requires. Each project is placed in relation to others, generating dialogue and reinforcing its context within a broader contemporary landscape. More than visibility, it provides positioning. A space where the work is not consumed quickly, but considered, revisited, and remembered. Join this fifth edition and present your work in a context where what matters is not quantity, but consistency, intention, and the way an image holds its presence over time. Prizes: Annual Printed Edition Eligibility: This opportunity is open to all photographers, amateur or professional, aged 18 and above, from anywhere in the world. The Aesthetica Art Prize celebrates contemporary art across a range of media. We're exhibiting and championing some of the world’s most significant talent and contributing towards a global dialogue around today’s creative practices. Aesthetica is part of the UNESCO City of Media Arts network. This award offers artists opportunities for exhibition at a major public gallery alongside publication in Aesthetica Magazine. The winner will receive £10,000 prize money as well as opportunities for wider exposure and development. Over the years, winning pieces have reflected upon both social and political structures, questioning the value that we place on the planet and each other. They have pushed the boundaries of form and technique, providing new and inspiring ideas. The Aesthetica Art Prize is a conduit to help us to make sense of the world around us. As we progress – and that’s a term for debate – we must look at what we gain and what we lose. In this world of augmented and virtual reality, constant connections, instant access, the metaverse, phones, selfies and satellites, is loud and intrusive. We need to look at the balance of things and understand that there needs to be an equilibrium. We must not be afraid to ask hard questions. Prizes: Prizes include 10,000 GBP (approx. 12,195 USD) awarded to the Main Prize winner, 1,000 GBP to the Emerging Prize Winner, as well as a group exhibition, and publications within an inspiring anthology for 100 shortlisted practitioners.
